Hello there! My name is Scarsor and I'm making Portal Heart, a NSFW Harem Visual Novel about heroes determined to fight against Darkness.
Portal Hearts is quite simply a player friendly experience with in-game guides and almost zero grind for a sandbox-like game. I did my best to ensure all players can have fun with my sandbox, given I was motivated to create a fun experience rather than the usual.

You obviously had more planned for this game, what made you decide to split it into two parts
The main reasons are the overall weight of the game and the need to rework the scripts. The technical state of the game at the moment is close to ideal and will remain this way.
This decision gives me a guarantee that I can complete the story completely without going crazy with the complexity of my creation.

I will, but in the second part. This one will get 1 more update to reach 1.0 and it won't include music/sound.

You don't intend to add music even when this part is finished? I personally have trouble keeping interest when playing games that don't have sound attached to them and playing my own music can make the music playing not fit the scene, so I wouldn't really be interested in playing if no music is ever planned for this part.
Yes, first part will be completely soundless even after release.

So far I really like the game. Especially the story I'm very interested in how that side goes. (I already have some theories but I'll keep em to myself in order to not spoil anything) Only thing I'd ask to be worked on is maybe make travel a little easier than stairs, whatever room you wanted, stairs again, next room so on and so forth as it takes a while to get used to remembering what floor has what so if that was streamlined a little bit I'd like it. Otherwise good game.
Not bad. But MC looks a bit silly keeping one eye closed all the time.
Thanks for the game Scarsor. Looks good from the description and screenshots, but... I can not download the uncompressed version, and I know that I dislike to look at low quality lossy compressed images, so even though I have downloaded the compressed version from here, I think I will rather wait to be able to get the uncompressed version... somehow.
First of all, the problem with mega is that it has a daily limit of how much could be downloaded from it, and because sadly many other game developers on itch also upload to mega, I very quicly use up that limit just by attempting to update the games I already have.
In addition, the problem with google drive is that google counts how many times was a public file downloaded, and if it was "dowloaded recently too many times" by the definition of google, then google rejects to let anyone, except the file's owner to download the file for the next few days.
So, I must ask you very kindly to please upload the uncompressed version of the game to some other file sharing website. For example to:

Furthermore, I read your devlog post, where you wrote that you used jpg compression, and I must very much disagree with using jpg compression. Please, please use webp instead of jpg. Many other great renpy games use webp image compression that is absolutely superior compared to jpg, both in quality and file size.
Finally, I must also ask you to calrify wether in this game any kinds of werido sexual fetishes like femdom would be absolutely avoidable or not. I especially mean to emphasize the importance of user choice in this matter. There may be some persons, who may like or dislike whatever kinks you put in your game, so it is very important to have simple in-game choices about these kinds of things. But, sure if some kind of fetish/kink is so much part of a characters personality, that storywise it can not be avoided if the protagonist got into a relationship with a certain type of heroine, than it rather makes more sense to not force any of the heroines on the user.
So, as it was not mentioned in the game description I must ask how much will user choices matter in this game?
Will it be possible to get on the route of only one singe heroine, who the user may got interested in, or will the user be forced to have sex with everyone?

Compression format will change in the next version, I get through this with trial and error just like any other dev.
"weirdo sexual fetishes" are not existant at the moment, at least in the main game. There are some in Whispers system, but you'll never encounter them in a normal game, unless you become a high-tier subs to see some. They will appear in the future, but will be avoidable, without a doubt.
I do make my game as a whole piece, so the choices that you make will always matter. There aren't a lot of them, and it's pretty much linear game with sandbox elements, but once you've given a choice, it will matter.
I am afraid not, you won't be able to romance just one character, you'll get close to everyone eventually, which is a point of making a harem game.

Thanks for the mediafire link, but, the website you linked requires registration and login to gain access to the links. The download link is not out in the open, and I would rather avoid to register to random third-party websites, but sure later I will check it out. Maybe.
From what you anwsered, I think this game may not be good for me. It was not tagged with harem, and in the game description there was no mentioning of harem, so I came here hoping for some kind of "Story Rich" "Romance" game with fantasy elements, where I can romance a single heroine and experience some fantasy adverture story.
Even so, if the fantasy part of it is good enough, I think it may worth it to play, so I will eventually give it a try. Creating a fantasy game, is sure something I couldn't do, so you have my respect in this matter, and I wish you good luck for crafting the story.

You can be close as a lover, or a friend and it's up to a player to decide how close you would be. It's more of a fantasy story game with adult elements rather than a porn game with some kind of a story on a background. You can give it a try once you're ready and decide if you like it or not.

Well, there are a couple of characters who are into it. Lucia and Zima to be exact.
There aren't any "hardcode" moments for now, but they are active and like to dominate, which is noticeable. And in the future they will remain true to themselves.
